Integrated Research (or IR as they like to be known) is a tech company with a complicated product — Prognosis. It’s a piece of software that can identify critical problems in large IT networks and solve them before any damage is done. They were having trouble explaining the benefits to their customers and needed help humanising the complex digital problems Prognosis could solve.

They have two very distinct audiences – those that understand their technology (like IT departments) and those that don’t (everyone else). They need to talk serious tech with the people who use the product, without alienating the people who pay for it.

Some clear rules were laid out to help them get to grips with what to say to who. Simple metaphors and a little bit of humour gave them a distinct and relatable way of telling stories of how Prognosis has saved the day in some truly nail-biting situations.
